During the sale process we provide two distinct services. When our client is over $100 million we refer them to an appropriate M&A firm and provide support services as appropriate. When working with companies under $100 million in revenue we have found that good M&A firms are generally not interested in transactions of this size so Jacquard takes a more active role. By focusing solely on this specialized niche, Jacquard has become proficient in representing our clients in this environment and perform the work associated with the sale rather than relying on a generic business broker. The combination of our business operating expertise, specific client knowledge and sale process skills put our client firms in a superior position. Our method focuses on strategic buyers, not financial buyers. The typical approach of financial buyers combined with the current economy will not lend itself to the best offers. We will address acquisition firms that may have related companies in their current portfolio. We must also address whether there are one or two different sales.
